Learn AnyFlow

Everything you need to install the app, build flows that never miss, link your computers and connect your AI assistant.

Overview

AnyFlow is an automation app for Android. A flow is a simple recipe: when something happens (a trigger), do one or more things (actions). Flows run on your own phone, in the background, even when the app is closed.

You can extend flows to your computers with AnyFlow Desktop, and control everything by chatting with ChatGPT or Claude.

Install

Android app

  1. Download the latest AnyFlow APK from the download page on your phone.
  2. Open the file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps.
  3. Tap Install, then open AnyFlow.

New versions install over the old one. Your flows, history and settings are kept.

AnyFlow needs no account. The first time you open it, it walks you through the few permissions most flows need.

Turn on building with AI

Creating flows by describing them uses Groq, a free AI service. You add your own key once:

  1. Open console.groq.com and sign in (free).
  2. Go to API Keys → Create API key and copy it.
  3. In AnyFlow, paste it in Settings → AI. It stays encrypted on your phone.

Only your description and the list of steps AnyFlow knows are sent to Groq — never your messages, contacts or location. You can build every flow by hand without a key.

Your first flow

  1. On the Home screen, tap New flow.
  2. Describe what you want, for example: “Every night at 11, turn on Do Not Disturb.” You can also start from a trigger, a template or a blank canvas.
  3. AnyFlow shows the flow it built. Check the trigger and steps, and change anything you like.
  4. Tap Save & turn on. If a permission is missing, AnyFlow shows a button that opens the right place.

That's it — the flow is on. Use Test any time to try it without waiting for the trigger.

Three ways to build

ModeBest for
Describe itType a sentence; AnyFlow builds the flow. If something can't be done yet, it explains why and offers the closest flow it can build.
Simple modePick a trigger and actions from lists, with sliders and pickers instead of typing values.
CanvasA visual editor for bigger flows: branches, loops, parallel steps and error handling. Undo, redo and version history included.

Not sure what's possible? Open Ask AnyFlow to chat about your flows, ask why something didn't run, or get ideas.

Triggers

A flow can have several triggers — it runs when any of them happens (“when X or Y”).

CategoryTriggers
TimeAt a time on chosen days · every N minutes · custom schedule (time-zone and daylight-saving aware)
PlacesArrive at or leave a place — paste a Google Maps link, coordinates or an address
MessagesMessage received in WhatsApp, Telegram, Teams, SMS and more · email received in Gmail, Outlook and more
DeviceBattery level · charger connected · screen on or unlocked · wired headphones · airplane mode · phone started
ConnectionsWi-Fi on/off or a specific network · Bluetooth on/off · a specific Bluetooth device connects
Other devicesAnother linked phone or computer asks this phone to run something

Actions

CategoryActions
MessagesSend a WhatsApp or SMS message · send an email · show a notification · speak text aloud
SettingsWi-Fi, Bluetooth, location, mobile data, hotspot (quick settings) · Do Not Disturb · ringer mode · volume · brightness · screen timeout · auto-rotate
PhoneFlashlight and flicker · vibrate · media play/pause/next · open an app or link · share · copy to clipboard · get my location · battery status
WebCall any web service (responses are read automatically; retries when a server is busy)
Other devicesRun a step on another linked phone or computer

Logic & data

For flows that need to decide things, AnyFlow has conditions (if / otherwise), switches, loops, parallel steps, waits (down to 0.01 seconds), wait-for-an-event, sub-flows, approvals (a notification asks you before continuing) and try/catch error handling.

Each step's result can be used in later steps. In Simple mode these appear as data pills you tap to insert. In the canvas you can also write expressions like {{ trigger.sender }}.

Store passwords and API keys in the Secrets vault; they are hidden in history and logs. Values you reuse across flows go in Global variables.

Permissions

AnyFlow only asks for a permission when a flow needs it. When you save, every step reports what it needs and AnyFlow shows a fix button for anything missing.

PermissionUsed for
Notifications accessMessage and email triggers
AccessibilitySending WhatsApp messages and emails, quick-settings toggles
Location (all the time)Arrive / leave place triggers
Alarms & remindersTime triggers that run exactly on time
Display over other appsOpening apps or links from the background
Do Not Disturb accessChanging Do Not Disturb and ringer mode

Keep flows running

AnyFlow runs a small background service (you'll see its notification) so flows fire on time. It re-arms automatically after a restart or an app update, and pauses any flow that runs away.

  • Set AnyFlow's battery usage to Unrestricted (Settings → Apps → AnyFlow → Battery).
  • On Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo and Huawei phones, also turn off any “auto-launch”, “sleeping apps” or “deep clean” setting for AnyFlow.
  • Check Home → Needs attention. It lists every flow with a problem, the reason, and a one-tap fix.

The Turn all off button in AnyFlow's notification stops every flow instantly.

Run history

Every run is recorded on your phone: what triggered it, each step, how long it took and any error. When a flow fails you get a notification that opens the exact step that went wrong.

Link phones

  1. On the first phone, open Settings → Connect devices & AI, turn it on, and tap Make a code.
  2. On the second phone, open the same screen, tap I have a code and type it. Codes expire after 10 minutes.

Flows on one phone can now run steps on the other. For safety, the other phone must accept a cross-device flow before it can act.

AnyFlow Desktop

AnyFlow Desktop lets your flows — and ChatGPT or Claude — control your computer from anywhere: sleep, shut down, restart, lock, show notifications, open files and links, media keys, and wake other computers on your network.

PlatformDownload
Windowsx64 · ARM64
macOSApple Silicon · Intel
Linuxx64 · ARM64
  1. Download the file for your computer from the download page and open it.
  2. A page opens in your browser at http://127.0.0.1:47615.
  3. On your phone, open Settings → Connect devices & AI, tap Make a code and type it into that page.

AnyFlow Desktop then runs in the background and starts with your computer. There's no window to keep open. Open the same page any time to see the status, turn off “start at login”, or unlink.

ChatGPT & Claude

Once connected, your AI assistant can see, create, change and run your flows, and control linked computers.

One tap (recommended)

In AnyFlow, open Settings → Connect devices & AI and tap Connect Claude or Connect ChatGPT. A page opens with the address to copy and a button that opens your AI app — no code needed.

Manual setup

Use this AnyFlow address:

https://anyflow-cloud.anyflow.workers.dev/mcp

Claude

  1. Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors.
  2. Tap Add custom connector, paste the address, then tap Add.
  3. Tap Connect, enter the code from the AnyFlow app, and tap Connect.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Tap Create, paste the address, name it AnyFlow and choose OAuth.
  3. Tap Connect, enter the code from the AnyFlow app, and tap Connect.

You can disconnect an AI app at any time in AnyFlow under Settings → Connect devices & AI.

Advanced & root

AnyFlow works fully on a normal phone. If your phone is rooted, an optional Root section unlocks extra actions. On other phones these features stay visible but greyed out. AnyFlow only uses root after you tap Verify and allow it in your root manager.

Root actions can change system settings directly. Use them only if you understand what they do.

Known limits

  • Android doesn't let apps switch Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or mobile data directly, so AnyFlow uses the quick-settings panel through Accessibility. The phone must be unlocked at that moment — the same applies to sending WhatsApp messages and emails.
  • Opening apps or links from the background needs Display over other apps.
  • Email triggers match the sender's name, because email apps rarely show the address in notifications.
  • Without the Alarms & reminders permission, time triggers may run a few minutes late.
