Questions, answered.
Is AnyFlow free?
Yes. AnyFlow is free to download and use, with no sign-up. Building flows by describing them uses your own free Groq key, which you add once in Settings → AI.
Which devices does it work on?
The app runs on Android phones. AnyFlow Desktop runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and lets your flows — and ChatGPT or Claude — control those computers.
Do I need to root my phone?
No. Everything works on a normal phone. Root-only tools exist for advanced users, but they're kept in a separate section and switched off by default.
Will my flows stop when the app is closed?
No. AnyFlow runs in the background, re-arms after a restart or update, and tells you if your phone's battery settings could get in the way. See flows not firing.
Is AnyFlow a Tasker or IFTTT alternative?
Yes. Like Tasker and MacroDroid it automates your Android phone, and like IFTTT it connects devices and services — but you build flows by describing them, and it controls your computers out of the box. See the comparisons with Tasker, IFTTT and MacroDroid.
Does AnyFlow read my messages?
Only on your phone, and only for flows you create — for example “when Mom messages me”. Message content never leaves your device unless a flow you built sends it somewhere.
